“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Reading and reflecting on my childhood and segregation, these topics in my blog, are topics that I experienced during the sixties and they are vivid memories. I remember shopping in the Kress department store where there was water fountains labeled Whites and Colored. I would tell my kids they could drink out of the one labeled White. Black people had to order their hamburgers from a side window of a restaurant that made the best hamburgers in Guthrie, Oklahoma. We could not eat inside the restaurant. We had separate parks and I attended an all-Black elementary school and an all-Black high school.
Discrimination and racism are very real and present in the United States. Although we as Christians, African American’s, the most discriminated against, are to do as our ancestors and Martin Luther King did. We must consistently pray and never stop praying for subliminal justice.
We know that all things work together for good to them that LOVE God. Romans 8:28
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs:3:5-6
